An electrical fire warning/automatic fire detection system installed in any commercial building must be serviced, inspected and tested in accordance with the Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings.
Certain checks can be carried out by a responsible person nominated by the clients themselves, for example daily checks to ensure the indicator panel is in normal operation and that any fault warnings on the panel have been rectified. Weekly checks will ensure that the system is capable of operating under normal alarm conditions by testing a detector or a call point in different zones, with any defects found being recorded in a system log book and called through to the maintenance team for immediate rectification. Office Wide operates a nationwide service through partnerships with engineers to provide maintenance and emergency repairs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
